Below are posters which I found while researching possible ancillary options in my brief. Unlike those in which I analysed these particular articles are considered direct inspirational material and I will be using elements of each one in my own products. Both posters have been annotated in depth giving reasons why their codes and conventions are effective and how I will apply them to my own poster.
This activity has been hugely beneficial as it provided me with an opportunity to deconstruct film posters which are closely linked to ideas for my own production. The exercise encouraged me to not only highlight key codes and conventions but link such to the way genre is presented. I have decided, based upon the first poster in this post to include the use of silhouette within my own ancillary projects as I feel that it reinforces my chosen genre and creates a sense of mystery which I feel will be largely effective within my chosen media text.
